Self Reflection

Published October 29, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

This might be a long one, so I apologize in advance. I will try to keep it as short as possible.

A few weeks ago, I found out that a close family friend had passed away and, in the same night, a guy I knew from high school passed away. I held up pretty well, given that I did not spend a whole lot of time with these two individuals, but it really hit hard yesterday. Read the rest of this entry →

Still Alive

Published October 25, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

You might have noticed that I have not posted since day 18 of the October Writing Challenge. That was due to working and being in a wedding. It was my very dear friend, and fellow blogger, Jess’ wedding. You can visit her page here.

Day 18 was the bachelorette party and I did post afterwards.

Day 19  was “Let’s see how much of the house I can clean and sanitize before people come over.” Cym and I were both in the wedding and she was sleeping over because the wedding was in the early after noon and she would have to get up while it was still dark to make it to the wedding. Then it was off to the rehearsal, setting up for the wedding, and then rehearsal dinner.  Read the rest of this entry →

OWC – Day 18

Published October 19, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

Today was rough. I thought I was going to leave work early because I had a 2 hour meeting scheduled on my day off. But about an hour and a half before I was going to head out, the meeting got cancelled. I missed out on a nap.

I then went to a very low key bachelorette party. We sat around talking and sharing stories, eating, watching The Princess Bride. I had to call it a night very early on, but other people had work in the morning anyway. It was very nice to get out and hang out with friends.

Day 18 is “Discuss Current Relationship or Being Single.” Read the rest of this entry →

OWC – Day 17

Published October 18, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

Wow! 17 days of posts. I only missed 1 post, but made that up. I almost missed tonight’s post, too. I came home exhausted, got dinner, and then a friend came over to watch a movie with my finace and I.

Let’s just say, the first bit of The Conjuring 2 was scary, and it was made 10x scarier by our friend’s comments. Otherwise, it was a disappointing movie and I thought The Conjuring was scarier. I don’t get scared easily by horror movies. So far, out of the ones I have watched, Creep (2004), Sinister (2012), and The Conjuring (2013) got to me.

Day 17 is “A Favorite Quote and Why.” Read the rest of this entry →

OWC – Day 15 (A Day Late)

Published October 17, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

I am posting day 15 and day 16 tonight because I was so busy with laundry yesterday and had work last night. Then I had to be at work in the morning. On Sundays I usually come home, shower, and go straight to be so I can get at least 6 hours of sleep for my Monday shift.

However, I just discovered the 2017 Beauty And The Beast is on Netflix and I am distracted while writing this.

Day 15 is “Something That Never Fails to Make You Feel Better.” Well, it’s picture time! Read the rest of this entry →

OWC – Day 13

Published October 13, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

It’s Friday the 13th and it’s in October!!!! YAY! I have some errands and chores to do today so I wanted to get this post done before I do them. Since later I will be with friends and family watching Lore on Amazon Prime. It is based off of Aaron Mahnke’s podcast by the same name. Go check it out if you haven’t already. It’s spooky, which is great for October, and his voice is perfect for what he talks about.

Day 13 is “What Inspires You?” Read the rest of this entry →

OWC – Day 12

Published October 13, 2017 by K. Leigh

Hello,

I don’t have anything to report from today because I didn’t really do much. It was my day off from work and I spent most of it in bed due to terrible back pain. In fact, I am still in pain, but it isn’t as bad as it was earlier.

I’m just going to jump into Day 12, which is “A Problem You Have / Have Had.” Read the rest of this entry →
