Still Alive

You might have noticed that I have not posted since day 18 of the October Writing Challenge. That was due to working and being in a wedding. It was my very dear friend, and fellow blogger, Jess’ wedding. You can visit her page here.

Day 18 was the bachelorette party and I did post afterwards.

Day 19  was “Let’s see how much of the house I can clean and sanitize before people come over.” Cym and I were both in the wedding and she was sleeping over because the wedding was in the early after noon and she would have to get up while it was still dark to make it to the wedding. Then it was off to the rehearsal, setting up for the wedding, and then rehearsal dinner.

Day 20 was Jess’ wedding! Cym and I woke up early, ate breakfast, and did our hair and makeup (another bridesmaid came over to get her make up done, too). It was a beautiful wedding. Good friends, good food, good fun. And if you didn’t already know the couple, you could tell how much they loved each other when reciting the vows. I was so honored to be a part of that wedding and I am so thankful that she asked assist in her special day.

Day 21 was a crazy day at work, then hanging out with the mother in law, whom I hadn’t seen for about a week. We watched Poltergeist and I stayed up for about 21 hours. I don’t know how I did it.

Day 22 was another crazy day. I met up with a friend I hadn’t seen since the last semester at my university. She was visiting family and I had asked her to pick something up for me that couldn’t be found around me. So she brought it! Then I went to visit my family and went to work for another stressful day.

Day 23 was a long exhausting one because of not being able to sleep in last week. I had dinner with my mother in law. Went home and played Mario Kart with the fiance.

Today, our systems at work were down. Once they came back up – 2 hours before my shift was over – we had to upload everything we did manually and work our butts off to catch up as much as possible. I came home and napped while the fiance made dinner.

I believe I could possible catch up on my October Writing Challenge, but I did better than I though I would have. Getting a little over halfway through. I think I am going to start on my bigger project and also write something substantial. Maybe a novel, but if not, a novella at the very least.

My plan is to write 1000 words minimum a day in November and December. Finish by the first week of January 2018 at the latest. Then edit the next two months. If I start now, I can finish early, or not have to stress if I miss a day of writing or two here and there.

Let’s see if I can do this!
